Judicial Experience:

In 2000, elected to Circuit Court 11th Judicial Circuit. I served as a Circuit Court Judge in the Felony Criminal Division and Civil Division from 2001 until retirement from the bench in January of 2019. 

As a Circuit Court Judge sitting in the Criminal Division, I presided over all felony criminal cases from third-degree felonies to death penalty cases, including many high-profile cases.

As a Circuit Court Judge sitting in the Civil Division, I presided over the following types of cases:

Auto negligence, professional malpractice (attorney, medical), tobacco cases, construction lien cases, real estate contract disputes, property damage claims, premises liability, employment discrimination cases (private and public sector), defamation cases, condominium association disputes, contractual business disputes, negligent security, 

commercial landlord/tenant disputes, foreclosure cases, 

constitutional election ballot disputes.
